The ASC Shotgun Team invites you to join us for an introduction to the games of Skeet, 5-Stand, Pyramid Wobble, and Trap on Saturday, April 19th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
ASC is offering members and guests a chance to learn how to play these games, starting at 9:00 am. This is a great opportunity for beginners or novice shooters to learn alongside others at a similar skill level. We will teach you the rules, basic strategies, how to use the target releases (manual or wireless), and how to arm/disarm machines. We’ll also cover important safety tips so that members can get their key to the skeet/trap houses. This is a very casual class, and both the instruction and the key are free. Each shooter will pay $5 per game to cover the cost of the clays, so plan on $20 to shoot all four games. Members will also have the opportunity to get a game card if needed.
Non -members interested in participating, please contact the shotgun department at howtoplayshotgungames@aurorasc.org
Please arrive at the shotgun building by 8:30 am with the following:
Any gauge shotgun
Safety glasses
Hearing protection
At least 4 boxes of target load, lead or steel ammunition (shot sizes 7 1/2, 8, or 9)
We will meet at the shotgun building at 8:30 am, assign groups of five, and conduct a quick safety briefing.
After the classes, we will have brats, sausages, hot dogs, chips, and drinks available.
To help us organize the classes, please preregister at howtoplayshotgungames@aurorasc.org.
Everything is now polished and ready to go! If you need any further adjustments, just let me know.
