Northbrook Sports Club is hosting a NSCA Level II certification Class on May 30 through June 1, 2025.

Cost: $750.00
Level II Applicants must:
Be a paid and active member of the NSCA (CLM memberships do not qualify)
Have been a Level I instructor for a minimum of 2 years.
Have taught and documented a minimum of 500 hours of paid instruction as a Level I (unpaid instruction may be considered, must be documented and may be accepted in lieu of paid hours by exception only by the NSCA’s Instructor Certification Committee).
Have taken lessons (8 hours) from Level III or equivalent before the course.
Meet a Shooting Proficiency Requirement by EITHER having earned an NSCA A-Class rating at some point and shot a minimum of 6,000 lifetime registered targets OR passing a Shooting Proficiency Test (SPT) during the course.
At the Level II course, experienced instructors further hone their diagnostic skills and gain a deeper understanding of the mental game and what it means to evolve from instructor to coach. Instructors learn to create independent shooters by reinforcing the importance of pre-shot planning and a solid pre-shot routine. Instructors must demonstrate an effective coaching style, advanced diagnostic skills, and the ability to communicate and affect solutions to performance impediments. With a higher level of shooting proficiency and coaching ability required of the Level II graduate, he or she should be able to coach shooters up to and including higher level competitors. The tuition cost of the Level II Course is $750, plus shells and targets and a shared portion of the Certifying Instructor’s expenses.
